The Healthier Lives National Science Challenge (HLNSC) is consulting with stakeholders and the New Zealand public to help inform its research priorities over the next five years.
Diabetes and obesity are two of the four key areas of research that have been funded by HLNSC, along with cancer and cardiovascular disease.
You are invited to contribute your thoughts about which diabetes-related research will make the greatest impact to improve the health of New Zealanders, and will reduce the health inequities between different groups in our population.
Please visit the HLNSC website to read the short consultation document and fill in the five survey questions before the 15th December:
Diabetes New Zealand President and Chair Deb Connor, and Edgar Diabetes and Obesity Research (EDOR) member and Healthier Lives National Science Challenge (HLNSC) principal investigator Jeremy Krebs, opened the HLNSC consultation at the Diabetes New Zealand annual general meeting, 2017.
