Registration CLOSING for Disability Studies: Every Body In Conference

 

The Conference Organising Committee is delighted with the overwhelming support for the conference.

 

As a result of the high number of registrations already received, Registration for the conference will be CLOSED on Wednesday 9th November 2011. Individuals who have registered and not paid need to contact the Conference Manager (re their financial arrangements).

 

As of 5pm Monday 14th November unpaid Registrations will be regarded as withdrawn.

 

Planning is well underway and the Conference Organising Committee is looking forward to having you all as our guests later in the month.

REGISTRATION DESK


The registration desk will be situated in the St David Lecture Theatre foyer on the University of Otago campus (Refer venue map on the website).  Access to the venue is via the Cumberland St/St David St intersection which is the formal entrance to the University, off Cumberland St one-way opposite the Good Earth Café.  


The registration desk will be open on Sunday 27th November from 3pm till 8.30 pm. It will re-open at 8.30 am on the Monday and will remain open for throughout the conference.


The registration desk is there not only to process conference registrants but to assist them during the conference and their stay in Dunedin. Information on local sightseeing/visiting Central Otago or any other visitor requirements can be resourced. We are here to make your southern stay a successful and worthwhile occasion.

The aim of this inaugural conference is to provide a forum for people from diverse backgrounds (e.g., different life experiences, professions, research/academic disciplines, government / business /community organizations) to share their knowledge and research with others.

REGISTRATION ENTITLEMENTS:

 

All registration fees will cover the conference attendance with access to associated trade exhibitions or workshops, morning & afternoon teas and lunches. Each registrant will also receive a registration pack with conference programme, nametag, and associated brochures and publications, including local sightseeing information.

 

TYPES OF REGISTRATION:

 

Full Registration: A full registration includes the Sunday evening Meet & Greet, and the Conference Dinner.

 

Day Registration: Attendance at day registered for only. This DOES NOT include the Sunday evening Meet & Greet, or the Conference Dinner.

 

Student Registration: Reduced registration fee – eligibility must be supported by some form of official documentation e.g. contact details for Head of Department. Student Registration includes the Sunday evening Meet & Greet but DOES NOT include the Conference Dinner. 

 

Subsidised Registration: A limited number of subsidised registrations are available for individuals. If you would like to apply for one of these, please complete the registration form indicating you are applying for a subsidised registration. Also write a brief statement as to why you would like to attend the conference, and email this with any supporting information to buchans@xtra.co.nz FINAL DATE for applying for a Subsidised Registration is 31 August 2011. Subsidised Registration includes the Sunday evening Meet & Greet but DOES NOT include the Conference Dinner.

 

Support Person Registration: Registration for a Support Person to assist an individual who requires personal assistance. This includes the Sunday evening Meet and Greet, and the Conference Dinner.

 

METHOD OF PAYMENT:


Invoice Number: Every registration will have its own invoice number. Please keep note of this number particularly if you are paying by Internet banking or forwarding a cheque.

Receipts will be issued in your registration pack for those who have paid by cheque or on-line.

 

LATE REGISTRATIONS
In order to encourage early registrations and to prevent disappointments, a late fee of $50.00 has been introduced on registrations received after November 1st  2011.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations will be made at the discretion of the organizing committee. All requests are to be made in writing and will be considered after the conference. The committee reserves the right to deduct up to $50.00 for administrative costs.

 

REFUNDS:

Will be made after the conference and once final accounts have been acknowledged.

REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION
On submission of registration, your information and payment details will be forwarded to the Disability Studies database.
Credit Card Registrations: Registration is confirmed once your credit card has been approved, you will then receive notification of this confirmation by email.                   
On-Line Registrations & Registrations by cheque: Confirmation of your registration will be made once payment has been received in full. Confirmation will be made either by post or email.


Please note registration is not confirmed until payment is received in full.

 

PRIVACY ACT
Registrants who do not want their name on any conference publications are to indicate on their registration form or contact the organizers. It is important to note that NO lists or personal information will be given to any organization/company/institution without registrants’ written approval.
