Dr Fiona Doolan-Noble is spending a month at the Robert Graham Center in Washington DC on a Larry A Green Visiting Scholar Programme. This programme is supported by the Pisacano Leadership Foundation, the philanthropic foundation of the American Board of Family Medicine.

Scholars work directly with Graham Center staff on original research projects with the goal of developing a tangible piece of research at the end of the scholar's stay, as well as creating works in progress that permit on-going interaction with Graham Centre staff.

Dr Doolan-Noble is going to be doing a realist evaluation of the evidence of lay navigators in high income countries. She will be looking at the difference and commonalities of the roles of community health workers to try to understand their roles, what employers look for in lay health workers and also a look at quantitative data around outcomes.
