Overview

The Department of Medicine is one of eight academic departments within Otago Medical School's Dunedin Campus.

We are located in Dunedin Hospital, which is the research and teaching base for our medical, clinical, and academic staff.

In order to maintain our integrity and excellence in research, and ultimately in clinical practice and teaching, we have developed a strong research culture. We have a broad base of investigator-led research with strong clinical and translational research programmes.

Researchers in the Department have strong collaborative links with other university departments, as well as with national and international collaborators.
