Fulbright New Zealand Scholar Award winner Dr Sarah Young is keen to make use of the travelling opportunity the award brings. The award enables Dr Young to travel to America to pursue her research interests.

Dr Young is going to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and to Texas Children's Hospital Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, to work on development of a vaccine and immune therapies for colorectal cancer.

"The award is a great honour for me. It'll also enable me to take my family to the USA with me, something they're really looking forward to," Dr Young says.

Fulbright New Zealand Executive Director Mele Wendt says, "We are pleased to announce the latest recipients of Fulbright New Zealand Scholar Awards. These talented academics are at various stages of their careers, and we're confident that they will all fully utilise the Fulbright award experience to bring many benefits. The recipients and their universities should be very proud of their accomplishments."
