Primary Mathematics Facilitator
As an Accredited Mathematics Facilitator
With recent classroom experience, I provide support, guidance and leadership to develop teachers’ content and pedagogical knowledge using culturally responsive practice. I aim to grow teacher confidence in delivering engaging and innovative approaches to teaching mathematics that will challenge students’ ability to work and think mathematically.
My experience includes
Mathematics: in-class facilitation, providing critical and reflective feedback, and supporting teachers with their Teaching Inquiry. Working with school management to develop PLD journals, Action Plans and review Mathematic Curriculum Plans. Staff meetings respond to school needs, particular aspects: focus on ways to raise student outcomes and accelerate learning, consistent school wide assessment and support for teachers making accurate OTJ’s.
ALIM and MST mentor: supporting teachers to develop expertise in accelerating a cohort of students and ensuring the transfer of this learning across the school. I support teachers to inquire into their intervention and ensure systems and processes around intervention are strengthened.
