Biography
I joined the College of Education in 2011. Prior to that I worked in the University of Otago Higher Education Development Centre (HEDC) as Senior Lecturer Student Learning Development.
I have a background in a variety of educational settings in New Zealand, including transition education (in the context of an inter-tribal urban Marae in Otara, South Auckland), high school teaching (in conjunction with my role as guidance counsellor) and community & adult education. Throughout my various involvements I have facilitated professional development workshops in a range of settings.

In 2012 I am coordinating EDUC: 102 Human Development and am involved in EDUC: 306 Introduction to Counselling.
Research Interests
My research interests relate to the transition into University and the experience of first-year students.
