Biography

I am a senior lecturer in the Early Childhood Education Programme. My research interests are strongly focused on early childhood education. Aspects of my research include children’s second language acquisition; children’s use of private speech/self-talk; curriculum discourse and practice, in particular, the arts; and in the issues related to the early childhood teaching profession.

Research Interests

My current research interests are in music in the early years and in the discourses of professional practice.

Postgraduate Supervision

I have supervised both PhD and Masters’ degrees to completion.
