I have been a teacher educator and professional supervisor of students at the University of Otago College of Education for several years. I teach in the Physical Education learning area for the Primary Bachelor of Teaching (BTchg) and the Secondary Masters in Teaching (MTchgLn).

I have previously taught at the School of Physical Education, Sport and Exercise Sciences and as a secondary teacher of both Outdoor Education and Physical Education. I am passionate about encouraging young people to be active in the outdoors and develop an environmental ethic.

My PhD research is on transformative learning experiences of long duration Outdoor Education and the identity narratives expressed by adolescent girls after such experiences.
