University of Otago Literary Society (Litsoc)
The student-run University of Otago Literary Society (Litsoc) is for students who have an interest in English literature, though students from all disciplines are welcomed. Litsoc brings a social dimension to the love of literature, organising events such as quizzes, wine and cheese afternoons, poetry readings, and film/theatre outings and screenings. Members are provided with regular updates of events in the community they might like to attend.
Litsoc also publishes a semesterly "zine" called The Scribbler. It is available in both physical and digital forms, and features work contributed by students of English.
