Dunedin City of Literature

Aleisha Pienaar
Aleisha worked on a project to create a literary map of Dunedin city. Her work centred on collecting literature written about various locations in Dunedin. Ultimately, this will result in a literary map of Dunedin where visitors and tourists will be able to learn about the literary heritage of Dunedin.

Zoe TaptiklisZoeTaptiklis
Zoe is interviewing a range of Dunedin writers, to learn about their experiences as writers in Dunedin. They talk about their works, how they approach their writing, and how Dunedin is important to them as writers. This project will be part of the literary map of Dunedin.

University Bookshop

Megan HayesMeganHayes
Megan has worked at the University Bookshop contributing to their vast range of community projects. In particular, Megan has assisted with the Bookshop's involvement with the Dunedin Readers' and Writers' Festival, including the bookshop's involvement with local schools.

Otago University Press

Monica SharpMonicaSharp
Monica has embarked on a substantial project with the Press to index the whole of Landfall Journal. New Zealand's premier literary and arts journal has been published since 1947, and Monica's work will make the contents of the entire journal available online for the first time.

Science Media Centre

Jean BalchinJeanBalchin
Jean is working remotely with the Science Media Centre (based in Wellington) to write a range of science articles for Sciblogs, one of New Zealand's most important sources of scientific information for media organisations. In addition to interviewing a range of scientists, Jean is writing a series of articles about the most significant scientific objects in New Zealand history.

Science Learning Hub

Angus Gaffney
Angus is completing a double major in Zoology and English, and is working remotely for the Science Learning Hub (based in Hamilton), producing science resources for New Zealand schools. He has been writing a substantial article for publication on the Science Hub website about Ahi Pepe Mothnet, a Landcare Research project bringing scientific research into New Zealand schools.
