Greer’s advice to learners
Make the most of every opportunity – our programmes are literally life changing
Greer on working at Executive Education
I loved being an adult student – and am truly passionate about self-development. I’d worked in corporate managerial roles in the North Island and Australia for many years, but when I saw this position come up, I knew immediately I had to have it! I meet lots of fantastic and inspirational people, and enjoying seeing them learn and grow both personally and professionally. It’s a real buzz!
Greer on her role at Executive Education
My role encompasses managing the client experience from first enquiry through to delivery of course. This involves working closely with the client to uncover the organisational needs and then building in conjunction with the client courses that meet those needs.
Often this means completely adapting and building a course from the ground up that is unique to that organisation. Full customisation is offered and special attention is paid to bringing together the right facilitators for the specific client needs.
I also manage a national & global network of industry-based and academic facilitators that Otago has proudly partnered with that provides a diverse, balanced and world class knowledge base from which to draw on for the benefit of our participants.
Background and experience
Immediately following my under-graduate degree I travelled to North America to work & play on a major Colorado ski resort. I was fortunate to be visa-sponsored by the resort and stay for 2 years to train on-the-job in retail management. After working as Key Account Manager for GE Money in Auckland, I took up a position as Territory Manager with adidas NZ & Australia, where I remained for 3 years. Staying with adidas, I then moved into the role of Key Account Manager.
