Ian's advice to learners
Your job as a learner is to take everything you can from every learning opportunity you get, and executive education courses at Otago are rich opportunities to soak up knowledge and skills from the experiences of both colleagues and facilitators.
Ian on working at Executive Education
After a career of almost 50 years as a student, teacher, researcher, and practitioner of the arts of negotiation, mediation, and labour and employment relations, I figure I know a thing or two, and I very much enjoy the cut and thrust of the sort of robust discussion that typically takes place in the Executive Education environment.
Ian on his role at Executive Education
I teach employment relations, using real cases to examine the rights and obligations of employers and employees, and the processes of negotiation, mediation, and adjudication through which parties implement and enforce their rights.
International teaching and industry experience
