Via arrived from Indonesia in 2008 to attend university. In 2011 she completed her undergraduate degree in food science at the University of Otago in 2011 and continued on with postgraduate study in food microbiology and meat science. Her passion has always revolved around food, and in her spare time she likes to cook and bake.
