POPO Foundation Scholarship programme

Are you passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of Pacific people? Are you interested in learning more about pathways towards a health career?

The POPO Foundation Scholarship Programme is a Health Sciences support programme for Pacific students studying the Foundation Year Health Sciences course at Otago.

Pacific On Campus Experience (POCE) Scholarship programme

“Successfully transitioning Pacific students to tertiary studies”

The University of Otago’s POCE Programme is an opportunity for Year 13 students of Pacific heritage to visit the university’s Dunedin campus. The aims of the programme are:

  • Promote the University of Otago as the best university for Pacific students
  • Promote tertiary education to Pacific students and their communities
  • Provide hands-on assistance and guidance with study choices
  • Present Dunedin as a great university city for students to find their place in the world
