PhD candidates are being recruited to join the team at the Gene Structure and Function Laboratory, University of Otago, Christchurch.
The Gene Structure and Function Laboratory offers a range of postgraduate research opportunities in the field of genetic research for students with biology, genetics or computational/statistical backgrounds.
Potential topics include:
- Pharmacogenomics and genomics
- Pharmacogenetics of adverse drug reactions
- Pharmacogenomics of mood disorders
- Genetics and epigenetics of complex disease
- Gene x environment interactions in health and development
- Eating disorders genetics
- Applications of nanopore DNA sequencing
