Kaaren Mathias, (MBChB, MPH, PhD) is a public health physician from NZ, working in mental health leadership and in building research capacity in the Emmanuel Hospital Association, India. She is also director of the Burans partnership project: working with communities in Uttarakhand for mental health. In mental health her project work and research include a focus on social inclusion, recovery, gender equality and primary mental health system strengthening.
