Hayward College has a number of multipurpose rooms that lend themselves to a range of residents’ needs.
The Free
Our main lounge (also known as "the Free") is located on the first floor.
Here you'll find our big screen TV / streaming services and video games, and loads of comfy couches.
A popular place for the big game, movie nights, floor meetings or even slumber parties.
TV / Computer room
Right beside “the Free” is another cosy hang out space with a big screen TV, video games and comfy couches.
This is shared with a study and tutorial space if you are working on assignments, want to work in small groups or to do private study away from your room.
There are also laptop ports available and there is a photocopier and a printer for the resident's use.
The Break
Located on the ground floor, “the Break” becomes the hub of the action at Hayward. With cosy seating nooks to meet, chat and chill out or fun activities like a game of pool, table tennis, musical equipment and a TV, you'll always find ways to procrastinate.
Of course, if you would like something quieter, there are board games, puzzles and a wee library and reading corner.
