Research

Under the supervision of Associate Professor Sarah Young and Professor Vernon Ward, I have been using rabbit haemorrhagic disease virus (RHDV) virus-like particles (VLP) as a vaccine scaffold for the chemical conjugation and recombinant insertion of tumour-associated antigens (TAAs). These vaccines have previously proven effective at inducing potent anti-tumour immune responses in murine models of melanoma, lung cancer, and colorectal cancer. We are currently adapting this vaccine for prostate cancer and breast cancer, in addition to developing the vaccine for use in human clinical trials.
