Research

I am a Research Fellow at thw University of Otago, as well as an Endocrinologist at Wellington Hospital. I have been awarded an HRC Clinical Research Training Fellowship to undertake a PhD assessing ethnic differences in glucose metabolism amongst New Zealanders. I am about to embark on a clinical trial assessing the impact of a dietary weight loss intervention on glucose metabolism in New Zealanders with pre-diabetes, of different ethnicity and body composition (the PROGRESS NZ Study).
