Research
Judith’s research interests and experiences are diverse and interdisciplinary. She is especially interested in the health and wellbeing of children, young people and families; ethics of research (particularly with children and young people); young people’s participation; and qualitative and mixed methods research and evaluation. She has an extensive history of working with the Dunedin Study’s third generation studies, having managed the Parenting Study from 1996 until its culmination and the Next Generation Study for ten years.
Jude is interested in generational change and issues of equity and has worked with young activists and colleagues on a research project investigating the role of hope in activism. She also has an interest in health systems and was involved in evaluating a transformational change programme and a participatory research project, which explored the healthcare experiences of young people with chronic health conditions.
