Nicola graduated as a Physiotherapist from Auckland in 1987. She completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Manipulative Therapy in 1990, and expanded this to a Master of Applied Science in 1995 from the University of South Australia.
An interest in workplace dynamics and workplace rehabilitation was strengthened with a Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from La Trobe University in 2000.
Workplace rehabilitation, optimising workplace performance with injury, and assisting with the safe and timely return to work of people with injury has remained a focus—initially self-employed in the this field, then with the Barrington Physiotherapy Clinic team since 2014.
