Research

Dr Sampsa Kiuru works as a Clinical Senior Lecturer based at the Rural Health Academic Centre, Ashburton Hospital.

Current interests include incorporation of simulation based education into rural medical education, building a national rural hospital research network as well as research into procedural sedation practices in rural hospitals.

Dr Kiuru also works part-time at Dunstan Hospital and teaches the 'GENA 723 Trauma and Emergencies in Rural Settings' paper for the University of Otago's rural postgraduate programme.
