Research

My research is focused primarily in the area of translational cardiovascular science.

The majority of my research is conducted in observational clinical cohorts where the aim is to identify those patients who are at increased risk of adverse events occurring. Despite guideline-recommended medical care, there are a significant number of cardiovascular patients who continue to experience recurrent complications, including death.

The purpose of my research is to more accurately risk stratify patients so that precision-based medicine can be applied, with the end goal to lower rates of mortality and morbidity.
