There are many videoconferencing resources and facilities within the Division of Health Sciences. These are free for Health Sciences users from any campus, and include:
- Meeting rooms set up with Polycom units (for groups of up to 15 people)
- Larger rooms and lecture theatres (please request technical support for these)
- Other systems in small venues within schools and departments
Health Sciences video conferencing venues
Hunter Centre and 71 Frederick Street
- These two venues use a mobile Polycom unit
- You can book videoconferencing facilities in any of the Hunter Centre and 71 Frederick Street rooms
- The following Hunter Centre rooms have fixed video conferencing installations:
- Small meeting room: G31
- Seminar room: 1.02
- Large meeting room: G30b
University of Otago, Wellington (UOW)
- Conference Room D27
- Rooms D31 and C31 can also be booked
- Nordmeyer Lecture Theatre
University of Otago, Christchurch (UOC)
- Conference Room (temporary)
- Rooms 7.11 and 7.05
Dunedin School of Medicine (DSM)
- Octagonal Room
- Dame Norma Restieaux Room
- Barnett Lecture Theatre

The medical clinical schools also have access to other videoconferencing services such as Vivid Solutions (Telepaeds). This is a closed network of units that services district health boards and the wider health sector.
ITS videoconferencing rooms
- ITS videoconferencing rooms in the ISB are free to book during normal work hours ($60 outside hours) and have on-site support.
