Overview

There remains only a limited understanding of the molecular biology of aortic valve stenosis, the most comon heart valve disease causing death in New Zealand. This project, suitable for a medical or science graduate at either Masters or PhD level, will build on high-throughput analyses we have conducted on heart valve tissue using novel molecular biological techniques, with the aim of identifying potential therapeutic targets.
