Research Title
Students’ attitudes towards technology adoption for learning in higher education
MHEd Start
February 2019
Research Summary
This study will be looking at identifying the factors influencing students’ attitudes to using technology for their learning in Higher Education. As technology evolves and making people’s lives easier, it can also create problems within some communities, and these might be the reasons why students’ attitudes change towards technology adoption for learning. In the case of Samoa, technology is not easily accessible to all; not all schools offer computer subjects or have any related technology programmes for the students before they start university. Studying in higher education has a lot of challenges, demanding resources to be available and affordable for students, support from the institutions to some extent and the support from families and their communities. To help improve classroom achievements and learning, these factors should be recognized so that educators and teachers offer the necessary support for the students.
