In partnership with the University of Otago’s English and Linguistics Department, Dunedin welcomes its first CODE Visiting Chair, professor and practitioner of creative media and writing, Mark Marino.
Join us for this opening address by Professor Marino, as we launch the 2023 Dunedin Festival of Interactive Narrative and Storytelling.
In this talk, Professor Marino will showcase some of his own interactive digital writing projects and reflect on his experiences building stories in creative media that can lead - through many circuitous pathways! - to positive social ends. Professor Marino will share his efforts to "widen the circle of game and story makers and invite all to create vehicles for rich and engaging play."
Please note: This event will also be live-streamed. If you wish to attend remotely, please choose the 'Live-stream Ticket' option when you register. A link will be available in the email confirmation following registration.
