The University of Otago Legal Issues Centre are inviting New Zealanders who have either tried to find the help of a lawyer or who have used a lawyer to assist them, to share stories of their experience, via their new website yourlawyerstory.org.nz.
The recently launched website gives New Zealander’s the chance to share what they liked about the service they received or what they didn’t like. It also enables everyday kiwis to share their experiences in trying to find a lawyer.
The stories will form part of the teaching material for an upcoming Summer School course on legal profession and the future of legal practice. The Legal Issues Centre and Faculty of Law believe it is important that law schools train future lawyers who understand clients’ needs and who offer services that clients want to use.
