Professor Sonja Tiernan, Eamon Cleary Chair of Irish Studies, is delighted to have been awarded the Keough-Naughton Library Research Award, a competitive grant sponsored by the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies and Notre Dame International.
Sonja will spend ten days in February working at the University of Notre Dame among the Irish Studies collections researching material for her next monograph on twentieth century Irish feminist activism.
The award funds all travel and associated costs as well as providing access to the library collections and space to work. While at Notre Dame Sonja also hopes to foster a collaborative relationship with prestigious scholars of Irish Studies based there.
