An introduction to various forms of traditional and contemporary Pacific dance. A practicum component is included.
This paper provides students with the opportunity to understand a Pacific worldview from the basis of Pacific languages and the Pacific culture as expressed through the medium of the performing arts. Three Pacific Island dance forms and styles will be studied in any one year, with a theoretical and practical component in each of the modules.
