The Baby Led Introduction to SolidS study (BLISS study) is the first clinical trial worldwide to investigate the advantages and disadvantages of a baby-led approach to infant feeding.

The study is a collaboration between the Department of Human Nutrition (Dr Anne-Louise Heath) and the Edgar National Centre for Diabetes and Obesity (Associate Professor Rachael Taylor), and includes researchers from across the University.

The first results from this study will be available in 2016. PhD student Lisa Daniels has published a detailed description of what the BLISS study is doing - and why. You can download the paper.
