Library and Information Services Director/Manager

Plan, organise, directs control and co-ordinate the information services activities within the University.

Librarian

Develops, organises and manages library services such as collections of information, recreational resources and reader information services. Registration or licensing may be required. Includes Assistant Librarians.

Archivist and Curator

An archivist analyses and documents records, and plans and organises systems and procedures for the safekeeping of records and historically valuable documents.

Curators are subject specialists responsible for an institution's collections. Curators plan and organise collections, guide the organisation in its collecting by drafting collection policies, arrange acquisitions of pieces and oversee their care and documentation. Curators may also conduct original research on objects.

Library and Information Services Supervisor

Supervises the provision of information services.

Library and Information Services Assistant

Provides customers with information as requested (for example assisting Library users). May assist with the teaching of education programmes (for example school holiday programmes or information literacy programmes) or interpret displays for the general public. Includes Library Assistants and Aquarists / Interpreters.
