Manages publicity campaigns and communication strategies; prepares and controls the issue of news and press releases; advises staff on the public relations implications of their policies, programs and practices; manages relationships with customers, funding agencies, media and others; responsible for business development, increasing funding, student numbers, sales or commercialisation of intellectual property; responsible for community liaison through schools and community groups.

Marketing Coordinator

Co-ordinates marketing activities and prepares marketing material, for example preparing course brochures, websites and advertisements; co-ordinating events on campus such as conferences or entertainment; maintaining relationships with clients and representatives; and providing advice to managers on best practice.

Editor and Publisher

An editor evaluates magazines, articles, manuscripts or books to determine suitability for publication or production, and edits and supervises material in preparation for publication for the University. A publisher is responsible for the content, style, sales and profitability of the publications produced.

Graphic Designer

Plans, designs, develops and prepares information for publication, display and reproduction using pictures, symbols, photography, text, colours and layout using a variety of technologies to achieve communication needs, tailoring the message for the intended audience. Includes scientific and medical images for research and teaching.
