Domestic leave

In recognition of the importance of whānau, if staff are unable to attend work due to attending to their child, partner or family member who are dependent on them, they are able to apply for leave to be counted against their sick leave entitlement (if available) up to the limit outlined in their employment agreement.

This does not normally include brothers, sisters, parents-in-law or more distant relatives.
