In recognition of the importance of whānau, if staff are unable to attend work due to attending to their child, partner or family member who are dependent on them, they are able to apply for leave to be counted against their sick leave entitlement (if available) up to the limit outlined in their employment agreement.

This does not normally include brothers, sisters, parents-in-law or more distant relatives.

Booking domestic leave

The majority of staff can book domestic leave using the Staff Web Kiosk. Your request will automatically go to the appropriate approver and you will be informed of the outcome by automatic email from the Web Kiosk.

If you are a timesheet/variable hours employee, application should be made via the below online form.
