The Union provides food and beverages, catering and retail facilities to students and staff.
It is a commercial University-owned business unit comprising of 26 operations in 15 locations on and around campus, and employs more than 450 staff during the semester.

The Staff Club
The historic Staff Club was built in 1907 and is a popular place for staff to sit back and enjoy a meal or something to drink.
Located in the heart of the Dunedin campus, the Staff Club is open at the following times:
- Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 7:30pm
Staff can enjoy espresso coffee, a variety of beverages and a fine array of foods. A lunch-time buffet is offered between 12:00pm and 2:00pm each day with a continuously changing menu.
