Sophie Zareei, Jonny Collins and Harry Peyhani celebrated on Saturday after each was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy degree. All three were offered full time positions before they had submitted their softbound theses and so they were juggling new careers with completion of their work.
Sophie's thesis is entitled "Energy Efficiency Modelling and Performance Analysis of Self-powered Sensors" and her primary supervisor was Associate Professor Jeremiah Deng, with co supervisors being Emeritus Professor Martin Purvis and Professor Holger Regenbrecht.
Jonny's thesis is entitled "Interaction and Emotional Response in Immersive Virtual Reality Learning Environments" and his primary supervisor was Professor Holger Regenbrecht, with co supervisor Associate Professor Tobias Langlotz.
Harry's thesis is entitled "Closing Price Manipulation and Market Quality" and his primary supervisor was Associate Professor Peter Whigham, with co supervisors Dr Grant Dick and Professor Timothy Crack.
Congratulations to you all and our very best wishes for the future from the Information Science Department.
