Wendy Wlasak joined the University of Otago in 2018 as a Ph.D. student. She has a Double Degree (Bachelor of Arts) in International Business Studies from the University of Applied Science in Wernigerode, Germany and the Haaga Helia in Helsinki, Finland and earned a Master degree in Business Information Systems (Wirtschaftsinformatik) from the University of Siegen, Germany.
In her PhD research she combines her knowledge from Behavioural Science, User Experience and Information Systems to challenge current technologies like fitness tracking devices and apps, and aims to create better ways of supporting physical activity long-term.
