The Otago International Friendship Network (OIFN)

Only Otago students outside the clocktower

The Otago International Friendship Network (OIFN) connects international and domestic students with local and international cultures. We know your time here is a journey and OIFN is here to support you at all points during your time at Otago!

There’s a programme of fun and interesting activities running throughout each main semester period. Membership is open to all Otago students and coming along to our events is a fun and friendly way of socialising and making new connections to people and other cultures.

This is a great place for new international students to meet people and get support through the transition of moving to a new place. It is a great place for both undergraduate and postgraduate students to share their own cultures, experiences and questions whilst learning from others.

OIFN events are run and managed by a fantastic group of volunteer students, who are our Host Partners, in partnership with the International Office’s Student Advisor Team. This group of volunteers and staff are available to answer questions and provide support for international students living in Dunedin and studying at Otago at all points from arrival through to departure.

For more information, updates and opportunities, see the OIFN Facebook page.
