Use this application form to request the addition, modification or removal of voicemail for a single extension on the University of Otago’s phone system.
Please allow up to 5 working days for this request to be completed.
Voicemail options
- Standard - Outgoing message length of three minutes, no restriction on incoming message length, and six minutes for message storage.
- Announcement Only - Outgoing message length of two minutes, callers do not have the option to leave a message.
- Voice Menus - This allows for options to be given to a caller. For example, press 1 to connect to ..., press 2 to connect to..., etc., and finally to leave a message.
Message Storage
You may listen to any messages received that are longer than the storage time limit, but you cannot save them.
Messages already listened to will be automatically deleted by the voicemail system after 30 days. New messages (i.e., not listened to) are not deleted.
