Audience: Staff and students using Macs/Safari
Symptom: you follow the link to eReserve and your browser gives you an ‘Administrator login’ screen. This is happening when people are using Mac and the Safari web browser.
Recommended fix: Try using another browser (e.g. Firefox or Chrome) to access Blackboard/eReserve.
Alternative fix: you can continue to use Safari but you need to change the Cookie settings in your browser as below. This is not recommended unless you understand the effect changing the security settings in your browser may have on all your web browsing.
Select the Safari > Preferences menu.
Select the ‘Privacy’ tab
For ‘Cookies and website data’ select ‘Always allow’
