Audience: Clients using this Service

Description: ITS Operations are planning to upgrade the ITS Central Backup System (EMC Networker Server) to Version 9.1. Networker clients Version 8.1 and under, will not be supported by EMC once the upgrade has taken place.All clients are required to be on Version 8.2 before the 26th of February.

Should your backup require support, Operations will disable your backup until it is upgraded.

Networker Version 8.2, Installation Procedures and a Compatibility Matrix can be found at \\storage.hcs-p01.otago.ac.nz\its-software\CWIS\NetWorker

Additionally EMC is dropping support for the IA64 series of processor. Note: the command "arch; uname -a ; cat /proc/cpuinfo" will advise what processor your system is using.
