Unscheduled Outage: UO-STAFF, UO-STUDENT & UO-EXTERNAL ('Current State Network'): Intermittent Issues

Audience: All Staff and Students
Description: Users of the ‘Current State Network’ (UO-STAFF, UO-STUDENT & UO-EXTERNAL) may observe sporadic interruptions in their access to the internet or local network, and/or poor data transfer speeds. Both wireless and wired connections are affected. This service degradation is being investigated by ITS System Engineers in conjunction with our network partner as a matter of the utmost urgency and we apologise for inconvenience caused.
UO_Wifi wireless and ‘Future State Network' wired connections are not impacted, so wifi users are advised to join UO_Wifi if available in their area.
We would like to thank all those affected for their patience whilst network problems are being rectified.
