Alert: Phishing email
Timeframe: Sunday 18 November - current
Description: A phishing email appearing to be sent from “help.it@otago.ac.nz“, claiming to be from “IT Department, Otago University” has been reported by a large number of University email account holders. The email is fake and is a cleverly disguised phishing email. The link has been blocked on the University networks, however off campus it is still accessible. Please do not click on the link, simply ignore the message and delete it. Please contact AskOtago IT if you have clicked on the link.
