Scheduled Outage: Turnitin
Timeframe: Sunday, 6th January 2019, 5:00am to 1:00pm
Service Affected: Turnitin
Description: Turnitin system vendors will be undertaking vital preventative maintenance during the timeframe above, as a result of which this service will be unavailable. Consequently:
- Students will be unable to make new submissions to Turnitin Direct Assignments
- Students will be unable to view Turnitin similarity reports or feedback made through the Turnitin Feedback Studio
- Instructors will be unable to view Turnitin similarity reports or enter feedback or marks through the Turnitin Feedback Studio
- This outage is limited to Turnitin; Blackboard and Moodle will otherwise remain unaffected
Turnitin is the anti-plagiarism service introduced to the University of Otago in Semester 2 2018, which integrates with Blackboard and Moodle and is recommended in preference to SafeAssign (more information is available here: https://help.otago.ac.nz/blackboard/assessing-your-students/turnitin/).
Note: this is after pre-Summer School has finished and before Summer School starts.
