During a scheduled upgrade to the Syncplicity service we have uncovered an issue with permissions in the associated filesystem.
Repairing the problem is necessary to continue the upgrade and the upgrade is necessary to remain in support so we have no option but to perform the repair.
How this affects users: During this period the Syncplicity filesystem will be offline. As such clients will be unable to synchronise data stored on their devices with the Syncplicity cloud. If the data is not stored on the device and must be retrieved from the Syncplicity cloud, users will be unable to access the file.
What is the timeframe: It is unclear how long this will take to repair. We expect somewhere between three days and a week.
