The University of Otago uses Sophos PureMessage anti-spam software to protect your inbox from spam and phishing emails. Spam and phishing emails sometimes get through this filtering software, so you need to know how to manage them.
Managing spam and phishing email
Please contact AskOtago if you have received:
- spam or phishing emails that you find offensive, or
- any email that claims to come from the University of Otago or ITS asking for your University username and password
Please don’t open any attachments or click on any links in a spam or phishing email.
