Information Technology Services (ITS) supports and maintains 84 lecture theatres for the University of Otago:
- 81 on the Dunedin campus
- three at the Auckland Centre
These are known as the 'pool' lecture theatres because these are the lecture theatres used by Timetable Services for accommodating each semester’s classes.
These facilities are equipped with up-to-date computers (both Windows and Mac-based) and other equipment such as:
- data projectors
- visual presenters (document camera)
- Blu-Ray players (which can play DVDs or CDs)
- network ports for laptops
- radio microphones
- speaker systems
- data collection systems, H-ITT devices ('clickers').
