    Paper Structure

    We undertake a tour of relevant issues and topics relating to contemporary life in France through texts and videos. We study the influence of France in the world and the evolution of the French language in other French speaking countries. Through grammar analysis and vocabulary learning, the course emphasises student improvement in aural and written comprehension, as well as speaking and writing.

    Teaching Arrangements
    Three lectures per week and one oral class per week.

    Learning Outcomes

    Students who successfully complete this paper will be able to

    • Communicate in French at an advanced level (B2 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, or CEFR), including aural comprehension
